Camp SoundWaters offers a hands-on, up-close and personal experience in exploring and learning about nature, from nature, on the inspiring Long Island Sound Waterfront. A super set of counselors who really get to know your kids. Curriculum that complements and enhances in the real world what they learn in the classroom during the school year.

Less than 5 minutes from I-95 exit 9 in Stamford, CT, Camp SoundWaters is located directly on Long Island Sound. We explore the beaches, tidal pools and Holly Pond to help children learn through first-hand experience.

Sea Stars            Grades K-2           Monday-Friday  9:00 am-3:00 pm

Hands-on science learning wrapped in FUN! Experience       non-stop exploring, activities, games and live animals.

Bluefish          Grades 3-4            Monday -Friday  9:00 am-3:00 pm

Join us for slippery, wet and non-stop exciting discoveries! Enjoy collecting animals, canoe trips and one overnight in the SoundWaters Center.

Small Boat Sailing                                                              Opti Sailing          Grades 4 – 6          Monday-Friday  9:00 am – 5:00pm

For the beginner and intermediate sailor, learn to sail our 8’ foot Optimist sailboats on Holly Pond. Each session is filled with rigging instruction, sail handling and teamwork. Experience how tides, weather and wind affect your performance on the water.

Pixel Sailing          Grades 4 – 6        Monday–Friday  9:00 am –5:00pm

For the advanced sailor wishing to improve and challenge their skills on Long Island Sound. Experience the fun, teamwork and excitement that the two sail, 13’9” sloop offers.

Tall Ship Sailing Adventure            Grades 6 – 8

Enjoy an exciting week-long adventure on Long Island Sound aboard our 80 foot three-masted schooner, SoundWaters. Interact with live creatures through hands on scientific discovery. Deploy the trawl net, seine on local beaches, gain leadership skills and confidence as you navigate the schooner alongside our crew and licensed Captain. Sessions II and III include a two night camp out on a local island.
