Corporate and Community Group Volunteer Partnerships
SoundWaters invites employee volunteers to participate in community projects at Cove Island Park. These activities have many benefits. They:
- Develop staff team-building
- Offer healthy, outdoor activities
- Provide important service to SoundWaters
- Promote recognition on SoundWaters website, corporate communications, local media.
Projects include coastal clean-up and marine debris education; horseshoe crab tagging; maintenance projects at the SoundWaters Coastal Center; and landscaping and park maintenance at Cove Island Park.
Public Volunteer Projects
SoundWaters has volunteer opportunities at the Coastal Center for everyone, young and old, on weekdays and Saturdays in Summer. This rewarding work is crucial to SoundWaters, training is provided and it’s a great way to meet people with similar interests. The minimum age for volunteers is 15.
Volunteer opportunities include: Coastal Center greeters, librarian, office assistant, assist in special events, aquarium maintenance, lawn and garden work and data entry.
