Programs for Individuals and Families

 

Tall Ship Sailing Adventure : Grades 6-9

Enjoy an exciting week-long adventure on Long Island Sound aboard our 80 foot three-masted schooner, SoundWaters. Interact with live creatures through hands on scientific discovery. Deploy the trawl net, seine on local beaches, gain leadership skills and confidence as you navigate the schooner alongside our crew and licensed Captain. All sessions include a two night camp out on a local island.

Public Sails

Come sailing with us during our 2 1/2 –hour afternoon and evening sunset sails. 

Afternoon Sails – Great for Families!
On selected weekends from June to October, you can help hoist the sails, raise the trawl net and discover what inhabits the underwater wonderland of the Sound.  Suitable for Adults and Children ages 5 and up.

Sunset Sails – Great for Adults!
On selected weekends and weeknights, from June to September, bring your dinner and your favorite beverage and relax while watching the sun dip below the horizon.  Sunset Sails are intended for Adults, as alcohol is often brought on board.

Charter the Schooner

Come aboard the Tall Ship SoundWaters, a three-masted schooner styled after a 19th century Chesapeake Bay sharpie schooner. Treat your employees, associates, friends or family to a brilliant sunset or beautiful afternoon on Long Island Sound, enjoyed from the deck of this 80-foot sailing vessel.
