St. Augustine students learn science by doing science

SoundWaters educators headed to Bridgeport for a program with St. Augustine middle school students at Seaside Park. We had a gorgeous day to explore the Long Island Sound ecosystem and its food web. The 6th, 7th, and 8th graders had a great time seining, fishing for plankton, learning about the animals, and taking data about the sandy beach. We found silversides, green crabs, slipper snails, comb jellies, hermit crabs and much more; a great find on a fall day!
