Watershed field science -learning by doing with SoundWaters

Great day in the field! SoundWaters educators led every 7th grade Old Saybrook Middle School student through watershed science. Students collected & analyzed soil cores, sick tested water samples for pH and salinity levels, immersed themselves into environmental cleanup challenges and live animals from Long Island Sound including diamondback terrapins, sea stars, flounder, mussels and crabs.
